ONE SENIOR ENGINEER. THE OUTPUT OF A TEAM.

Your idea.
Working software.
Sooner.

Turn “what if” into software your business can depend on. I combine AI-powered development with thirty years of engineering judgement to move quickly, keep costs lean, and deliver production applications built to last.

From first version to production. Scope and price agreed before each phase.

01 / A MORE PRACTICAL APPROACH

The best way to find out?
Put it in your hands.

It’s hard to describe the perfect solution before you’ve used it. A working first version makes the conversation real. You see what helps, discover what’s missing, and help shape what happens next.

01 ↗︎

Start with the problem.

Tell me what you want to make easier. Together, we’ll focus the first version on the things that matter most.

02 ↗︎

Get something working.

I use AI to accelerate development, then review and test everything myself to turn your idea into usable software.

03 ↻

Make it better, together.

Use it in your day-to-day work. Your experience guides the next version, so the time goes on what you actually need.

WHY BUILD WITH ME

AI makes building faster.
Experience makes it work.

AI can generate code quickly. Turning that code into a dependable application takes careful decisions about how your business works, how data is handled, what happens when things go wrong, and how the software will change over time.

I do that work myself—from defining the right first version to reviewing, testing and delivering the finished application. Used well, AI lets one experienced engineer deliver what used to need a team, without the handoffs, the overhead or the diluted accountability.

You get one person who takes responsibility for the result and helps you move it forward.

For example, in Sales Scribe, issuing an invoice and recording its accounting entries happen together, or neither happens. That prevents an interrupted process leaving an issued invoice without the matching entries in the books.

Read the Sales Scribe case study: working in six weeks, warts and all

03 / ENGINEERED FOR THE LONG RUN

Quick to take shape.
Built to go the distance.

A working first version is the beginning. I take applications through to production, doing the detailed engineering that makes software efficient, robust and secure in everyday use.

That includes the time-consuming edge cases: incomplete data, unexpected inputs, interrupted processes and things happening in the wrong order. I build and test how the application responds, including when something goes wrong.

01

Efficient and dependable.

Attention to performance, resource use and error recovery, with testing that covers real workflows and awkward exceptions.

02

Security built in.

Access controls, input validation and careful handling of data are part of the development work, supported by review and testing.

03

Ready for what comes next.

Clear code, a considered structure, useful documentation and automated tests make the application easier to maintain, support and extend.

04 / AI-BUILT SOFTWARE REVIEW

Move your AI application safely beyond the working demo.

If changes keep breaking your prototype, I review your code, test critical workflows, and secure your app before real customers depend on it.

You receive a clear assessment, prioritised findings with supporting evidence, and practical next steps. Scope and price are agreed before the review begins.

Security

Are permissions enforced correctly? Are customer data, credentials and integrations protected?

Reliability

What happens when inputs are unexpected, payments are repeated, connections fail or several users act at once?

Maintainability

Can another developer understand, test and safely change the application? Are dependencies, documentation and deployment arrangements in good shape?

Privacy and compliance readiness

Does the software provide the controls your business needs for handling personal data, managing retention and deletion, and maintaining appropriate records?

05 / MODERNISE THE SYSTEMS HOLDING YOU BACK

Your business has moved on.
Has your software?

Outdated applications, disconnected spreadsheets and manual workarounds can make everyday tasks harder than they need to be. I help you modernise or replace legacy systems around the way your business works today.

Start with the biggest bottleneck, put working software in your team’s hands, and improve from there—with data migration, existing integrations and business continuity planned from the outset.

Keep the parts that still serve you well. Improve, connect or replace the rest in manageable stages, with your team involved throughout.

Tell me what’s holding you back

06 / HOW WE AGREE THE WORK AND THE PRICE

Understand the work.
Then agree the price.

Every project has different requirements, constraints and unknowns. We start with a conversation about what you need. Where further investigation is needed, I agree a price for discovery before it begins.

Once the scope is clear, I quote for a defined phase of work, with agreed deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria and payment milestones. If requirements change or an unexpected dependency emerges, we agree how it affects the scope, price and schedule before additional work starts.

01

A free first conversation

Tell me what you need to make easier, what you already use and any budget or timing constraints. Together, we explore what the solution could look like and what it needs to achieve for your business.

02

Discovery where needed

If there are unknowns to resolve, I quote for that investigation first. We agree what it will cover and what you will receive, such as a specification, a prototype or an assessment of existing systems. You own the discovery documents whether or not you proceed.

03

A quote for a defined phase

We agree a manageable scope, how we will judge it complete, and a fixed price before work begins. Delivery dates and staged payments are set out in the quote. Larger builds and legacy modernisation are planned in phases, so you can decide whether to proceed with the next phase after reviewing the results.

04

After launch

Further improvements are scoped and quoted as you learn from using the software. Support and maintenance are optional and agreed separately to suit your needs. They can cover monitoring, updates, security patches and small changes.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Clear terms from the start.

I run one client build at a time, so the start date is agreed in writing before you commit. I am currently booking from November 2026.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

Engineering experience.
A product perspective.

I’m Allen Keveren, director of Rapid Agentic Development. I have a degree in computer science and around 30 years of experience as a software engineer and product manager.

That combination brings both the technical detail and the bigger picture into focus: how an application is built, what it needs to achieve, and how it fits into the working lives of the people using it.

Rapid Agentic Development is one person by design. Every decision, every line of code and every conversation goes through the same engineer—which is why it’s fast, and why the answers below matter.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The questions you
should be asking.

Isn’t AI-written code a liability?

It can be, when nobody competent owns it. Here, AI drafts and I decide. Every line is read, reviewed and tested by an engineer with thirty years’ experience before it goes anywhere near your business, and I’m accountable for the result—not the tool.

The applications are built with mainstream, well-supported technology and a conventional structure. Nothing about how they were written stops another developer picking them up. The Sales Scribe case study shows what the review process actually caught.

If your worry is an AI feature in your own software inventing things, that’s a different problem with a specific answer: how UK Company Intelligence makes AI commentary trustworthy enough to act on.

Who owns the code? Can I take it elsewhere?

You do. When the work is paid for, the source code, documentation and assets created for your application are yours. They live in a repository and hosting accounts that you control, with no proprietary framework, no lock-in and no ongoing licence fee for the software itself.

If you ever want a different developer, or an in-house team, to take it on, they can.

You’re one person. What if you’re unavailable?

It’s the right question, so the answer is built into how I work rather than left to chance. From the first version onward: your code is in a repository you own; documentation and automated tests are part of the deliverable, not an afterthought; the technology is mainstream, so nothing needs decoding; and you hold the credentials to your own hosting, domain and services.

If I’m unavailable for a fortnight or for good, your software keeps running and anyone you choose can maintain it. That’s a commitment, not a hope.

Will my project queue behind your own products?

No. I run one client build at a time, and client work takes priority over my own products. The Sales Scribe case study is candid that it waited nearly five months while I built two other things—that is what happens to my products when there is other work, not what happens to yours.

Before you commit, the start date is in the quote. I’m currently booking from November 2026.
